Mica Grinding Processing – Unlocking the Value of a Versatile Non-Metallic Mineral

Mica is a versatile non-metallic mineral with excellent insulation, heat resistance, and chemical stability, which is widely used in electronics, electrical appliances, cosmetics, and other industries. Its grinding processing is an important means to expand its application scope, as the ground mica powder has better dispersibility and processability, and can be used as a filler, insulator, and additive in various products. The mica grinding project described in this article is located in a non-metallic mineral processing base in northern China, with a designed hourly output of 1-3 tph, an output fineness of 150-325 meshes, and a annual production capacity of 15,000 tons, covering the needs of multiple industries.

The project adopts advanced mica grinding equipment and a scientific processing process to ensure the quality of the mica powder. The processing process is as follows: the raw mica ore is first crushed into small pieces by a crusher, then sent to a grinder for grinding. The grinder adopts a special grinding mechanism, which can effectively maintain the lamellar structure of mica, ensuring the excellent performance of the mica powder. The air classifier in the production line can accurately control the fineness of the powder, and the finished powder with different fineness can be collected separately according to customer needs. The entire production process is closed-loop operation, avoiding dust pollution and resource waste.

The mica powder produced by this project has different uses according to different fineness. When the output fineness is 150-200 meshes, it is used in the electrical appliance industry as an insulator, which is used in the production of motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment, with good insulation performance. When the fineness is 200-250 meshes, it is used in the cosmetics industry as an additive, which can improve the texture and spreadability of cosmetics. When the fineness reaches 250-325 meshes, it is used as an industrial filler in plastics, rubber, and paint industries, which can improve the toughness and heat resistance of products. In addition, it is also used in the construction industry as a waterproof and thermal insulation material, with broad application prospects.

The project has strict quality control measures, and the raw materials are tested before processing to ensure that the purity and lamellar structure of the mica ore meet the requirements. During the grinding process, the fineness and dispersibility of the powder are monitored in real time to ensure the stability of the product quality. The production line is equipped with a full-set environmental protection equipment, including dust removal and noise reduction systems, which fully meets the national environmental protection requirements. The project also has a professional technical team to provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of the equipment, ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the production line. This mica grinding project not only realizes the high-value utilization of mica resources but also provides high-quality raw materials for downstream industries, creating good economic benefits.
