Phosphate Rock Grinding Processing – Supporting the Sustainable Development of the Fertilizer Industry
Phosphate rock is a vital non-metallic mineral resource and the primary source of phosphorus for the fertilizer industry. Its grinding processing is an important link in the production of phosphorus-based fertilizers, as the fineness of phosphate rock powder directly affects the dissolution rate of phosphorus and the efficiency of fertilizer. The phosphate rock grinding project introduced here is located in a fertilizer industrial park in southwest China, with a designed hourly output of 12-18 tph, an output fineness of 100-200 meshes, and a annual production capacity of 100,000 tons, mainly providing raw materials for the production of compound fertilizers and phosphate fertilizers.
The project adopts a complete set of phosphate rock grinding production line equipment, including a vibrating feeder, jaw crusher, cone crusher, Raymond mill, air classifier, pulse dust collector, and conveyor system. The processing process is scientific and reasonable: the raw phosphate rock ore is first transported to the vibrating feeder, which uniformly feeds the ore into the jaw crusher for primary crushing, reducing the ore size to 60-100mm. Then, the ore is sent to the cone crusher for secondary crushing to obtain particles of less than 15mm, which are then conveyed to the Raymond mill for grinding. The air classifier in the production line can accurately control the fineness of the powder, ensuring that the phosphate rock powder meets the requirements of fertilizer production.
The phosphate rock powder produced by this project is mainly used in the fertilizer industry. When the output fineness is 100-150 meshes, it is used as a raw material for the production of compound fertilizers, which can improve the phosphorus content of the fertilizer and promote the growth of crops. When the fineness is 150-200 meshes, it is used for the production of phosphate fertilizers, such as superphosphate and triple superphosphate, which have high solubility and can be easily absorbed by crops. In addition, the phosphate rock powder is also used in the chemical industry as a raw material for the production of phosphorus-based chemicals, such as phosphoric acid and phosphate esters, with broad application prospects.
The project attaches great importance to environmental protection and resource utilization. The entire production line adopts closed-loop operation, and the dust generated during the production process is collected and treated uniformly, which meets the national emission standards. The waste water generated during the processing is treated and reused, realizing the recycling of water resources. The project also adopts energy-saving equipment and technology, reducing energy consumption and production costs.
At the same time, the project has established a perfect quality control system to ensure that the phosphorus content and fineness of the phosphate rock powder meet the requirements of fertilizer production. This phosphate rock grinding project not only provides high-quality raw materials for the fertilizer industry but also promotes the rational development and utilization of phosphate rock resources, supporting the sustainable development of the agricultural and chemical industries.
