According to the different requirements of dry desulfurization and wet desulfurization on the fineness of limestone powder, we can provide different grinding equipment configuration schemes. The absorbent used for dry flue gas desulfurization is calcium carbonate, calcium oxide or even calcium hydroxide, and the required fineness range is within 1mm. Wet limestone flue gas desulfurization process is widely used in coal-fired power plants today. The fineness of limestone powder as desulfurization absorbent shall be determined according to the characteristics of limestone and the comprehensive optimization of desulfurization system and limestone powder grinding system. For boilers burning medium and low sulfur fuel coal, the fineness of limestone powder shall be 250 meshes with 91% passing rate. When burning coal with high sulfur content, the fineness of limestone powder shall be 90% of the passing rate of 325 meshes.
