Tips on how to reduce the wear of jaw crusher.

Home / News

As the primary crushing equipment commonly used in mine crushing equipment, jaw crusher often breaks materials with large particle size, many impurities and high hardness, which often causes severe wear of jaw plate. Therefore, some methods and techniques are adopted to reduce the wear of jaw crusher. Now we will discuss this technique and method.

1. Strengthen the fastening of jaw plate of jaw crusher. Tooth shaped jaw plate can be used, and a layer of plastic material can be placed between the jaw plate and jaw head, so that the jaw plate is firmly fixed on the jaw head, so that the contact between jaw plates of jaw crusher is stable and friction is reduced.
2. Improve the wear resistance of jaw plate of jaw crusher. Namely, jaw plate materials with high hardness, strong wear resistance, good toughness and impact resistance shall be selected. In practical application, the high manganese alloy jaw plates that meet this requirement are widely used in various jaw crushers.
3. Control the feed granularity. Generally speaking, the feed size of jaw crusher shall be controlled within 85% of the larger size of the feed inlet, so as to avoid damage or excessive wear to the jaw plate caused by oversized stones, which will affect the crushing effect and efficiency.
4. Spot check the incoming materials. As the composition, hardness, humidity, mud content and other factors of the material have a great impact on the performance of the jaw plate, sampling inspection should be carried out for the incoming materials. Once it is found that the material properties have changed greatly, the parameters of the jaw crusher should be changed in time to match the feeding properties.

The abrasion of jaw crusher has always been a concern of customers. Effective methods can help customers reduce the abrasion of jaw crusher, thus extending the service life of jaw crusher and improving the production efficiency of jaw crusher.
