Bentonite is an aqueous clay ore mainly composed of montmorillonite, the main indicators of raw ore quality are montmorillonite content, blue absorption and colloidal value. It has special properties such as swelling, adhesion, adsorption, catalysis, thixotropy, suspension and cation exchange. After grinding and milling, it is widely used in various industrial fields.
Bentonite is a kind of soft non-metallic ore. if the raw ore size is too large and the feed inlet of the mill is limited, it can be preliminarily crushed and then sent to the mill for grinding to select the finished powder that meets the fineness.
Production process of bentonite powder production line:
1. Raw bentonite ore: China is rich in bentonite resources and is widely used in iron and steel, metallurgy, chemical industry, papermaking, medicine and other industries.
2. Crushing: the Mohs hardness of bentonite is 1 ~ 2. It is a soft non-metallic ore and can be preliminarily crushed.
3. Drying: natural or heating drying can be used to remove water (water content ≤ 12%-6%). In order to prevent the performance change of bentonite caused by the structural change of montmorillonite, the drying temperature should be lower than 250 ℃ and the drying time should not be too long.
4. Milling: in order to meet the requirements of papermaking, plastic and rubber products industries for high fineness of bentonite. Generally, the bentonite grinding equipment can use European version grinding machine (Raymond Mill upgraded product), vertical grinding machine and other equipment for grinding.
In general, the application field of bentonite requires a powder fineness of 200 mesh. The above-mentioned European mill and vertical mill can meet their processing needs. Each series of mills has different models, which can be selected according to specific production needs. Generally speaking, the vertical mill has larger output and investment than the European version mill, which is more suitable for large-scale bentonite milling projects. For most powder factories, the European version mill can meet their production needs, and it is more widely used in the field of bentonite powder production.
