In the deep processing industry of kaolin, dry process and wet process are generally adopted, both of which require crushing and grinding of raw ore. Let's briefly introduce the two processes and corresponding equipment.
Generally, the dry method is to preliminarily crush the extracted raw ore to about 25 mm by selecting jaw crusher with 200-1200 mm feeding particle size or impact crusher with 250-500 mm feeding particle size according to the size. The crushed ore is further refined by a blowing Raymond mill equipped with a centrifugal separator and a cyclone dust remover. This process can remove most of the sand and gravel, and is suitable for processing ores with high whiteness of raw ore, low sand and gravel content and suitable particle size distribution. Dry processing has low production cost, and the products are usually used as low price fillers in rubber, plastic, paper and other industries.
The wet process includes several stages, such as mud dispersion, impurity separation and product treatment. The general principle process is as follows: raw ore - crushing - pulping - desanding - cyclone separation - stripping - centrifuge separation - magnetic separation (or bleaching) - concentration - filter pressing - drying. Wet process products are usually used for ceramic or paper coating products.
