The grinding rollers apply pressure to the material, crushing and grinding

Home / News

The limestone grinding process starts with the pretreatment of the raw material. Large - sized limestone blocks are first fed into a jaw crusher to reduce their size to a more manageable level, usually to around 50 - 100 mm. This is to ensure that the material can be smoothly fed into the subsequent grinding equipment. The crushed limestone is then sent to a vertical mill. Inside the vertical mill, the material is ground between the grinding rollers and the grinding table.

The grinding rollers apply pressure to the material, crushing and grinding it into powder. As the material is ground, air is introduced into the mill. The air carries the ground powder upwards. A classifier is installed above the grinding area. The classifier rotates at a certain speed, and it separates the fine powder that meets the 200 - mesh requirement from the coarser particles.
The fine powder is then carried out of the mill by the air flow and enters a dust collector. In the dust collector, the powder is separated from the air and collected as the final product. The coarser particles that do not meet the fineness requirement fall back to the grinding area for further grinding.

Project Description & Project Background
The project is driven by the growing market demand for limestone powder. With the continuous development of the construction and chemical industries, the need for high - quality limestone powder has been steadily increasing. In the local area, there is a lack of large - scale and efficient limestone powder production facilities.
