In the ceramics industry, the feldspar-calcite blend is used as a flux in the production of ceramic bodies and glazes. Feldspar lowers the melting point, promoting vitrification, while calcite helps in adjusting the thermal expansion coefficient, reducing cracking during firing. The 180-mesh fineness ensures uniform mixing and smooth glazing, resulting in ceramics with excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
The glass industry benefits from this blend as well, using it to adjust the chemical composition and properties of glass.
